U.S. plan to build an unusually designed Mentare fish-like submarine

Automated submarines are being researched around the world and now the United States has joined the race. In this regard, the US agency Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has also awarded contracts to three companies.

However, its design is similar to that of the fish found in the oceans, Menta Ray, and when viewed from a distance, it looks exactly like a fish. It is designed to last a long time in the oceans and is commonly referred to as an inhuman submarine (UUV). Like its name, it will be able to spend a long time at sea without any human intervention.

The project is called the Menta Ray Project. The state-of-the-art navies around the world are working on it and the UK itself has launched a project to build an artificial intelligence-powered non-manned submarine.

Submarines are repaired and refueled by humans, and the US Navy wants to get rid of them. In this way, Navy personnel and commanders have ample time for their mission.

For this, DARPA has asked Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman Systems and NevaTech to develop a long-term mission UV, including one by Metron Inc. The company is working on deep-sea energy.

The Mentaray automatic submarine is designed to use less energy and reduce the risk of rust and breakage.

Kyle Warner, Commander of the Menta Ray Project, said the program would build unmanned submarines and deep-sea submarines. If successful, it will be possible to use conventional submarines.
